• Rosie O’Donnell’s deal with MSNBC for her own talk show has fallen through. She wrote on her blog, “2day there is no deal/poof/my career as a pundit is over/b4 it began.” The reason? They didn’t want her speaking like that.
• Duane “Dog” Chapman apologized for his use of a racial slur on Fox News’ Hannity & Colmes, saying, “I now learned I’m not black at all.” He’s now applying for a new job: Captain Obvious.
• Fox has indefinitely postponed the new season of 24, putting a two-night, four-hour premiere of American Idol in its place. Look for other shows to follow suit with Seacrest-themed programming.
