• Ellen DeGeneres will adopt New York City next week as the new home for her show. She’ll then give the city to her hairdresser.
• The verdict’s in: Glenn Close will continue bullying foes for two more seasons in her FX legal drama Damages.
• ABC has launched mini webisodes starring the main characters from Lost. The shows, titled Missing Pieces, are designed to provide a rounder view of the characters. But they’re getting such bad reviews, you end up wishing the characters were stuck on a deserted island somewhere.
• TV misses Kathie Lee Gifford, or is that vice versa? The former TV host is heading back to the tube, joining Ann, Natalie and Hoda as a special co-host for the fourth hour of the Today Show on Wednesday.
• In case you didn’t get your fill on music on TV, CBS is airing the two-hour special Movies Rock (Dec. 7, 9 p.m. ET, CBS), featuring performances by Queen Latifah, Chris Brown and Tony Bennett.
