Denise Richards Gets a Reality Show

February 12, 2008

Denise Richards is joining the ranks of Paula Abdul and Tori Spelling: She’s getting her own reality show!

The actress and single mom is set to star an untitled E! series which will follow her around as she “navigates Hollywood, romance and motherhood.” The show, which is being produced by Ryan Seacrest’s company, will debut in the summer.

But before the cameras even began rolling, Richards’s show has been in the headlines. The actress faced objections from ex-husband Charlie Sheen who was unhappy with her plans to feature their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, on the show. But in January, Richards was granted permission by a court commissioner to include her daughters in the show.

“The show will give viewers an inside look at what it’s like for Denise to go through these ups and downs while always in the public eye,” said Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development for E!, in a statement. “At the core of this series is a resilient single mom who is trying to get her life back on track.” –Brian Orloff

Tell us: Will you watch Denise Richards’s show? Is it right for a mom to include her daughters despite her ex-husband’s objections?

No — I won’t watch the show and I do not believe it is right to use her two young daughters that way. What was the judge thinking!!

j February 12th, 2008

i think she is a sick woman for putting her children on display this way. charlie should have had his way and kept them off of it. i will not watch

Shoeshine February 12th, 2008

Will not watch it! Bad Mommy!

What an opportunist! Using her kids for her own monetary gain is beyone disgusting.
But what can you expect from a shallow, D list actress!

Sharon February 12th, 2008

While most celebrity parents are trying to shield their children from the cameras, I think it is very telling that Denise is willing to foist her young daughters into the limelight. In this case, I don’t think the judge considered what was best for the kids!

Elle February 12th, 2008

What a shameful thing to do … you have to be really desperate to have to use your children this way!

NICKEL February 12th, 2008

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH CHARLIE ON THIS ONE! I DON’T THINK IT IS RIGHT THAT SHE IS GOING TO EXPLOIT HER CHILDREN ON PUBLIC TV! THEY AREN’T EVEN OLD ENOUGH TO MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY EVEN WANT TO BE ON THE SHOW OR NOT. THE WAY SOCIETY IS RIGHT NOW, I WOULD NEVER EVEN CONSIDER PUTTING MY CHILDREN ON TV LIKE SHE IS PLANNING TO. AND ANYWAYS, WHO IN THE WORLD CARES TO SEE HER LIFE EVERYDAY? CAN WE SAY…BORING!!!

Its fine, at the end of the day she is famous, and her children will be in the public eye regardless. Let her make some money while she still can. It could be the girls college tuition.

james February 12th, 2008

I will not watch it. Those poor children and if you ever look at them with her they always look so angry. Especially Lola.

Suzi February 12th, 2008

Who in the world cares what Denise Richard’s is doing? Denise who?
No, I certainly won’t waste my time watching her.
