Denise Richards Gets a Reality Show

February 12, 2008

Denise Richards is joining the ranks of Paula Abdul and Tori Spelling: She’s getting her own reality show!

The actress and single mom is set to star an untitled E! series which will follow her around as she “navigates Hollywood, romance and motherhood.” The show, which is being produced by Ryan Seacrest’s company, will debut in the summer.

But before the cameras even began rolling, Richards’s show has been in the headlines. The actress faced objections from ex-husband Charlie Sheen who was unhappy with her plans to feature their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, on the show. But in January, Richards was granted permission by a court commissioner to include her daughters in the show.

“The show will give viewers an inside look at what it’s like for Denise to go through these ups and downs while always in the public eye,” said Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development for E!, in a statement. “At the core of this series is a resilient single mom who is trying to get her life back on track.” –Brian Orloff

Tell us: Will you watch Denise Richards’s show? Is it right for a mom to include her daughters despite her ex-husband’s objections?

No,she is a joke and a bad actress, her career is in the toilet.I think it’s really sad that she is allowing her girls to be filmed.

tamra February 12th, 2008

she just proved what a thoughtless mother that she is who would have thougt that her ex husband is the responsable parent

Tracy February 12th, 2008

And we thought Charlie was the irresponsible one! I think if she needs extra money she should get a real job, because the whole film and tv thing isn’t working out so well for her. I don’t watch fame hogs like Heidi and Spencer and I won’t watch Denise’s show.

Dawn February 12th, 2008

And she’s been screaming that Charlie Sheen is a bad parent, is she really kidding. But, this is Hollywood! DRAMA DRAMA and more DRAMA

lisa February 12th, 2008

Let her have her reality show with the kids in it. I think it is silly with all of the fighting. I can be if charlie were to do a reality concept as opposed to his syndicate, he would most surely have those girls in it. They are in fact Denise’s kids too and they are part of her day to day… Why not include them? Charlie has lots of money - now let Denise (who is an actress) have the ability to move forward in her venue too. And, yes, I will probably watch it just to see what all the fuss is about.

i personally will not watch the show. She has done some crude things to Charlie and i feel she’s just using her girls for sttention. She has never really had a career in the entertainment industry and i feel it’s her last attempt to finally do so. Charlie should have had some say on the girls appearance on the show, they are his children also, how would she feel if Charlie had his own reality show.

STEPHANIE February 12th, 2008

That is HORRIBLE!!! They may not be married anymore, but Charlie is still the girls’ dad, and if he objects to them being on the show, they shouldn’t be on. He’s not opposing Denise trying to further her career in a last-ditch effort like a reality show, he only wants his daughters to be protected from the potential dangers of such a show. This shows he is a great father, and that Denise is more interested in trying to revive her career than what is in the best interest of her girls.

P February 12th, 2008

NO I will not watch her show. She is a pothetic person, who needs to get over herself. She should be protecting her children not parade them on national television!

Cheryl February 12th, 2008

I will not watch and who really cares what Denise Richards is doing with her life anyways? Sounds like she is just trying to get some spotlight turned in her direction but she is a horrible actress so I guess a reality show is as good as it gets for her! Her 15 minutes of fame for husband stealing is up so she’s just looking for more attention.

Amy Bowen February 12th, 2008

Very wrong for their children to be on her show. I think she’s a Wak Job.
