Denise Richards Gets a Reality Show

February 12, 2008

Denise Richards is joining the ranks of Paula Abdul and Tori Spelling: She’s getting her own reality show!

The actress and single mom is set to star an untitled E! series which will follow her around as she “navigates Hollywood, romance and motherhood.” The show, which is being produced by Ryan Seacrest’s company, will debut in the summer.

But before the cameras even began rolling, Richards’s show has been in the headlines. The actress faced objections from ex-husband Charlie Sheen who was unhappy with her plans to feature their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, on the show. But in January, Richards was granted permission by a court commissioner to include her daughters in the show.

“The show will give viewers an inside look at what it’s like for Denise to go through these ups and downs while always in the public eye,” said Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development for E!, in a statement. “At the core of this series is a resilient single mom who is trying to get her life back on track.” –Brian Orloff

Tell us: Will you watch Denise Richards’s show? Is it right for a mom to include her daughters despite her ex-husband’s objections?

These children are in the public eye and will continue to be. I think it is great that Denise Richards is exposing her children to the limelight of cameras on her own terms. I, like many viewers/readers have seen numerous pics of Denise out with her children (the park, shopping) These children will always be photographed and filmed, like most of the children of hollywood actors.
I think it impossible for anyone else to judge her decision when they are not in her shoes, nor living her life.

oh come on you all telling me you didnt watch the osbourns, snoop dogs fatherhood, just to name a couple.

I think Denise Richards is a very self absorbed, ignorant person. To air your “dirty laundry” and use your children to make money is totally selfish. Who cares about a husband stealing, backstabbing, money mongrel who doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut! Maybe she should concentrate on learning how to be a good mother who puts her children’s feelings first.

No…..I am not interested in Denise Richards, her kids or Charlie Sheen. My life is interesting enough without following a B-List celebrity.

Haha, put this terrible mom right up there with Dina Lohan! When Denise’s kids are in rehab for the 18th time, maybe she will rethink this decision. I think it is PATHETIC when mom’s use thier kids to gain publicity for themselves.

I love her I’ll sooooooooooooo watch her show!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelieveable that a judge allowed this and that Denise pushed for this. Talk about exploiting children! Cameras in their faces?? Exposing them to anyone who turns on a TV or walks up to them on the street? Bad mommy — cash over kids.

Makes you really wonder about all the supposed claims she had against Charlie, doesn’t it? LA family court & Denise — get your priorities straight!

Cindi February 12th, 2008

AND she has the audacity to wear a cross around her neck…what a hypocrite. This will not protect you from the evils you are putting on your children.

Kylie February 12th, 2008

I will watch it. She is always out and about with the kids anyway. They have pics taken of them all the time. And Charlie does too when he has them so I don’t see what the big deal is. It is showing that a single mother can still come out swinging and make something of her life and a great life for her kids. I am sure she wouldn’t have let the kids do it if they didn’t want too and even though they are young they still understand things. So who cares it is her life not your’s and your choice to watch or not.

In answer to “lori”, (Most single women would jump at the chance) paleeeeese! You really think she needs the money? She probably gets more in alimony in a week than most of us make in a year. She should be ashamed of herself. Her kids need a mom not a washed up has been trying to make a comeback!
