More than 100,000 contestants auditioned for season 7 of American Idol in seven cities across the country. In the Hollywood round, 164 competed for a place in the top 24. Now, we’re down to just 20 — that’s 10 men and 10 women. You’ve seen them all sing and heard the judges’ critiques.

I know Carly is good and all but I just can’t support someone on here who has already had a record deal and put their record out and just because it didn’t do good and the label dropped her that she now is on American Idol, isn’t this supposed to be for those hometown singers who are awesome?!

David Archuleta is going to win the AI competition hands down. If I HAD to pick the best girl it would be Syesha Mercado. David is a truly amazing talent. I would hate to be the other 19 contestants right now.

i love david archuleta. my fav! he defffff can sing no doubt about it, amazing voice, extremely talented, great personality so humble and u can tell he is really sweet!!
hmmm….i used to love asia’h syesha and ramielle. but my thoughts have changedd. i love brooke white more than any of those 3. ramielle is my 2nd fav and then comes asia’h. anddd also i dont like carly or amanda. their appearances really scare meee…. brooke can really singgg! so can ramielle, and asia’h but brooke is the better one

Boy, it has been painful to watch on the girls last week and last night . I just about went to other programs last night as it was dismal. I think the clear cut winner is going to be David Archuletta. He is so natural and has great personality. He has what it takes to be the American Idol. I still wish Blake Lewis would have won last year. I loved him and love his new CD. Ellen
