Audrina Blogs About Her Topless Photo Shoot

A day after topless photos taken nearly five years ago of Audrina Patridge, 22, surfaced on the Internet, The Hills star speaks out in her own words on her MySpace Celebrity page.

“I intended them to be artistic and not in any way provocative,” Patridge writes of the photos she says were taken when she was “just out of high school.” Adding, “I was naive, overly trusting of people and inexperienced. I thought that to be a model you had to be comfortable in front of the camera.”

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Lauren Conrad’s sweet-tempered roommate once had aspirations to be a model and succumbed to influence of others. “I’m not ashamed of these photos, but I don’t want my young fans to think they have to do what I did,” Patridge says. “I hope people can learn from my inexperience.”

Ok, seriously, I agree that she was young or whatever but the timing is just a little too coincidental with the Hills premiere. I don’t care that she did topless photos, but let’s not act like all “young” girls do them. Clearly she regrets it - and she should.

I do love & support Audrina, but I find it unfortunate that her, or any girl her age, would be mislead into thinking that photos of that nature are *artistic*. I highly doubt the middle aged, greasy, perverted men whacking off to them are thinking “Gee, that sure is ARTISTIC!”

I agree with “K”. Obviously they were meant to be provocative! And by the way, she is saying that this happened when she was young.. Hello! She’s only 22. I don’t think that classifies her as an old lady just yet.

Why do people here and in every other comments page think that just because a celebrity admitted that they were wrong then that makes it ok. It’s not!!! being 17 or 18 is not an excuse, at 18 I knew right from wrong. so I’m not buying that whole, ” I was naive” crap. all of these young celebrities have all taken pics of themselves naked at one point or another and it’s teaching our daughters that it’s ok to be sluts. And just because at 18 it’s legal it doesn’t make it right, no one is a full adult until they are 21. The legal age to show nudity should be changed.

They are trying to make it so no one gets sued because she was underage. They will *fix* the timeframe, cuz they can and they know it is illegal to take photos of underage girls. She looks all of 16 - 17 and probably told * These pics will make you a star - ONE OF THESE DAYS * and dumb Audrina believed them cuz she was hard up to get her 15 minutes of fame. And for her to say they were innocent - SERIOUSLY??? Innocent would have more clothes on. Poor role model. No wonder 1 of 4 girls have STD’s these days.
So sad for our future!!
