Lipstick Jungle ended its first season with tearful farewells from our three fashionable heroines. Each one of them has taken advantage love and risked an important relationship, leaving everything but their flawless wardrobes totally unraveled. Here’s a rundown:
• Nico (Kim Raver) can’t give up her young lover, but when her husband, Charles (Christopher Cousins), has a heart attack while she’s cheating, things come into perspective for her. Plagued with guilt, Nico ends her affair with Kirby Atwood (Robert Buckley) for good, but then, when Charles gets a surprising hospital visit from one of his students, Nico starts to believe she was not the only one cheating. Either way, now Nico knows what she wants: her marriage back. But can she get it?
• Victory Ford (Lindsay Price) is trying to get used to ex-lover Joe Bennett (Andrew McCarthy) as her boss. But keeping the relationship strictly professional is proving hard — especially when he calls staff meetings with bottles of champagne and delicious chocolates. When Victory gets caught between her two new famous clients (in bed!) she realizes there is only one bed she wants to be in — Joe’s. But, it seems like that spot may already be taken. Will Victory win back her ex? Or will she have to suffer through some very uncomfortable staff meetings?
• After one disastrous trip to Scotland, Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields) insults and isolates her oldest friend Nico. After hearing about her husband’s heart attack, Wendy comes to her side to support her friend when she needs it most. But will the friendship be able to mend?
With all the cheating and insulting going on between our favorite characters, we cannot wait to see what the next few episodes bring us. And not to mention, where cute Kirby will fit into the equation. Will they really be able to just be friends? –Andrea DeSimone
