Dancing With the Stars‘ Derek Hough was hospitalized Tuesday with a neck injury suffered during a rehearsal, the network says.
The professional dancer, who is Shannon Elizabeth’s partner, was taken to a Los Angeles hospital in an ambulance for an exam and observation, and later released, an ABC spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
The injury “does not appear to be serious,” the spokesperson says.

Yikes! Neck injuries must be common in the dance profession.. Karina had neck surgery not long ago. Hope he’s ok!

Wow, I hope that this isn’t the start of bad things to come. Last season there was bad things happening to people on the show like crazy. Marie Osmond passed out then lost her dad. Then, Jane Seymour lost her mom. I hope that this was just an accident & not the start of bad things to start this season. Get well soon, Derek!!

Get well, but you need to take care of yourself first. Been in your situation and didn’t listen to the Doc. A year latter had three disc fused in my neck and they go into the front of your neck to get to those discs.
