First 90210 Castmember Revealed!

April 1, 2008

90210’s West Beverly High School has its first student.

Canadian native Dustin Milligan will play Ethan, who is described as beautiful, likable and a star athlete, all valuable qualities in the elite, star-studded zip code, according to reps from the CW pilot.

Last month, the network fast-tracked a pilot for a spinoff of Beverly Hills, 90210, the popular series about a group of kids living an upscale life. For 10 years starting in 1990, viewers watched the lives unfold for Brandon and Brenda Walsh, Kelly and Dylan and others.

While there is talk of someone from the original cast making an appearance (Tori Spelling told PEOPLE she’d love to be a part of the remake), Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, who penned the pilot, is bringing a whole new cast of characters to make Beverly Hills their playground.

Earlier, Thomas revealed that the pilot’s premise is about a former graduate of West Beverly who reluctantly returns from the Midwest, with his wife and two children, to become the next school’s principal. The principal’s mother is a former actress who is headed back to rehab.

So far, Milligan, 22, is the first official cast member. He has appeared in several television shows, but most recently appeared in an episode of the CW show Supernatural. –Elaine Aradillas

Hope it is as good as the first!!

If the producers are smart, they will bring in membmers from the original cast to support the new characters. You can double the bang for your buck since those who loved the show in the 90s would watch it now along with getting a newer audience. I know I would watch it.

Vanessa April 1st, 2008

I am going to watch but I don’t think it can touch the success of the original. I miss it so much!! Prove me wrong!!

Aja April 1st, 2008

Um..nice hair. LOL

I hope that Rob Thomas can make this new 90210 less shallow and pointless. The original was obnoxious with those whiny rich kids and there pseudo problems. Thomas will have to infuse some of his wit (as he did with Veronica Mars) to get anyone to tune into a show that’s premise has had it’s day.
Why can’t people in Hollywood come up with some new ideas and stop recycling the crap they cast off years ago! Remakes and reality TV have made me want to throw my TV out the window!

He’s ugly

shannon April 1st, 2008

Obviously the person that moves back is Steve - he’s the only one with a mother that was an actress on the show…..

MeMe April 1st, 2008

I would soooo watch, only if Tori Speeling is NOT on it.

THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ALL THE CAST MEMBERS OF THE ORIGINAL 90210 — THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT ONE WITH ALL THE ORIGINALS

Sherry April 1st, 2008

I agree, I think that original 90210 members should be a part of the new show; I’ll check it out but it would be a bigger draw for us orginal BH9 kids to see the old cast members. FYI - BH9 episodes on Soap Network at 5&6pm weekdays and on Saturday mornings, also on Soap Network.
