My children and I Love watching DWTS! I wish I could have the dancers bodies. But the other week with Jason and Edita’s steamy dance was a little much for my 10 year old son. Edita’s hot pink BIKINI/MIGHT AS WELL BE NAKED COSTUME and grinding on Jason moves were enough to make me and my kids blush! Aren’t their restrictions on how little material is allowed for their costumes? I mean, come on! If I was Jason’s wife, I’d be fuming with jealousy!

I agree that Marlee did a wonderful job showing the world what we as deaf/hard of hearing inviduals CAN DO despite not being able to hear. I have competed & won in dance contests (country western). I too had voted for you & Fabian, although I noticed how you had struggled in the mambo. I often wondered if you were able to “feel” the music which would keep you in rhythm of the music or were you just dancing by memory? For what it was worth, thank you for being a very positive inspiration to the world.

What no one seems to remember about Marlee’s departure is that the judges are REQUIRED to judge and give marks based on what they see. I too have TREMENDOUS respect for Marlee for even ATTEMPTING a dance contest, but her performance was not adequate. As to Shannon and Derek’s outburst, perhaps Derek was right about some of the marks given to other performers, but “it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.” This is a performance where subjectivity is part of the process, not a race where the winner is determined by how fast you run (or drive).
