Hilary Duff Approached for 90210 Role

Hilary Duff has been approached to play a role in the upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff on the CW network, a source close to the project tells PEOPLE.

The singer-actress has been given a script to read the role of Annie, the principal’s daughter at Beverly Hills High.

Duff, 20, is currently appearing in the indie film War, Inc. with John Cusack, which is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

E! Online first reported the news.

If Duff ends up taking the role on 90210, she would join Dustin Milligan and Nip/Tuck’s AnnaLynne McCord, who have already joined the growing cast. –Elaine Aradillas

I would love to see Hillary Duff on the 90210 snin-off. It would be great to see the Duffster back on TV! I think shes such a good role model for young girls and it would be good for her to be on television every week!
