Survivor Sends an Unsuspecting Jason Packing

April 25, 2008

In another nail-biting tribal council, Jason Siska, the 23-year-old gym coach from Illinois who once believed Ozzy’s handcrafted idol was real, failed to play a real immunity idol in his possession, and became the third member of the jury on Survivor: Micronesia.

It all started at the reward auction, where each contestant got $500 to bid for food and other prizes. Cirie won a hot dog and fries while Erik traded octopus for nachos. Natalie won the chance to send someone immediately to Exile Island. After getting clarification that another immunity idol was hidden on the island since Ozzy failed to play his at the last tribal council, Natalie sent Jason. The auction ended when Natalie used Jason’s money to bid for a huge chocolate cake, which she shared for 60 seconds with Parvati, Alexis and Cirie, who let Erik lick chocolate cake off her fingers for the price of $40.

On Exile Island, Jason found the idol and wondered if Natalie had sent him there deliberately to help him in the game.

Back at Dabu, Natalie began to strategize. She told the ladies that they should split the vote between James and Jason. The goal was still to vote out Jason, but if he found the immunity idol and played it, they would get rid of James while flushing out the idol.

During the individual immunity challenge, Natalie told Jason that the goal was to prevent James from winning immunity and she would explain the rest later. Things went according to plan with Erik winning the prize.

Returning to camp, Jason volunteered to get food for the tribe. After he set off, Natalie rummaged through his bag and discovered the idol. Away from the pack, James asked Amanda what she would do. Amanda said she didn’t know but convinced James not to worry because she was sure Jason wouldn’t play the idol.

At tribal council, Ozzy flipped off the rest of the contestants before being seated with Eliza on the jury. He then got to watch the second big blindside in a row as Jason failed to play his idol and was bounced 4-3-1 from the game. –Cynthia Wang

Jason deserves the title of dumbest survivor in history. First, he thought the fake idol was real. It was just a stick with a face on it! Then, he gives up in the immunity challenge last week because he believes everybody when they say they won’t vote him out. Next, he actually trusts Natalie’s word. And then he doesn’t play the idol one week after Ozzy was voted out in the same way. What an idiot.

I thought Jason played a good game, he was never mean or coniving, he tried his best, maybe he is just not mean enough to play the survivor game. I will miss him!

I love Jason! i think he is such a great and nice person. he never went behind anyone’s back to betrayed anyone. Unlike everyone else on the show. it’s unfortunate that his naivity and trust he puts in people ended his time on the show. those may not be good qualities on survivor, but they are great for the real world.
plus he’s Sisky’s brother!!!!! And Sisky is awesome.
I will miss him :(

Well Cerie let Natalie take control this week. Just like she let Parvati take control last week. Cerie is running this game. Always has been. She has other people do her dirty work. But make no mistake, Cerie is in control. Also, I wouldn’t put it past her to flip on the other women and join up with Amanda, James and Eric. Afterall, when she decides she wants someone gone, they go. I can’t see Cerie letting someone like Alexis (who is a motovational speaker) getting to the finals. I don’t know about any of you, but I sure wouldn’t want to sit next to her!! I don’t think she would want Natalie at the end either. But we shall see. If one of them women doesn’t flip, then either James or Eric will go home next week.

Well things come back to haunt you and after getting rid of Ozzie the way they did the week before Jason should have been more on the ball and realize this game is all about man eat man and everyone is out to get what they want and you can;t trust anyone, and now that they have seen how it has been the past two weeks the contestants will have to watch their backs if they want to stay for another week. The only thing that will save anyone from now on is immunity, not the trust of anyone”s word.

i love ozzie and james. i’m not a fan of the game these girls are playing. i realize it’s out-wit as well as out-play, but it’s the worst way to win the game. i just hope james wins the immunity challenges and makes it to the end this time, but i guess it’s a fat chance at this point.
