American Idol’s Top Five Perform Tonight! Who Will Win?

April 29, 2008

Before we head into Tuesday’s American Idol performances of Neil Diamond songs, here’s a rundown of the show’s five remaining contestants:

David Archuleta
A fan favorite from the start, this squeaky-clean performer hooked viewers with John Lennon’s “Imagine” early on — and has yet to see the bottom three.

David Cook
Randy Jackson has said this season won’t come down to David vs. Goliath — but David vs. David. Will the rocker come out on top?

Syesha Mercado
With her killer pipes (and looks!) this season’s comeback kid is determined to make it all the way.

Brooke White
Sorry, Simon, sometimes nice girls do finish first — or at least in the top 5, as this super-sweet crooner proves.

Jason Castro
He turned things around with Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Will his dreams come true? –Rennie Dyball

Jason please go home tonight followed by Brooke next week. The final 3 will be the two Davids and Syesha with Syesha coming in 3rd to David A. making David C our American Idol! Unless it’s simply popularity then I guess Jason wins it all without a dynamic talent/voice. I watch Rewind and witnessed Clay Aiken blow Reuben Studdard out of the water and the large numbers of people supporting them both yet Reuben won? This is the first and last season I’ll watch AI. Carly and Michael should still be there with David, David and Syesha.

Emmaleigh April 29th, 2008

I definitely agree that David C., David A., and Syesha will be the top 3. I’d like to see Syesha win. I think Brooke goes home this week. She started out amazing but hasn’t been performing her best lately.

Chantelle April 29th, 2008

I wanted Carly to win. Therefore, I don’t care really who wins..although, i’m sorry, but the music industry is flooded with people such as David Archuleta. It’s all too cheesy for me.

An Archie April 29th, 2008

I hope brooke goes home this week she so needed to go home last week. so i think she needs to go this week for sure.

Colleen April 29th, 2008

I hope it is a David vs. David final with Cook winning! Brooke or Jason better go next! They were terrible last week! Carly should still be here!

Amy Gardner April 29th, 2008

I like reading People better than watching American Idol–there is more talent in it!

Kelbel91 April 29th, 2008

why did carly and micheal go home? it is all such a popularity contest it pisses me off to no end. Can we make AI a SINGING competition please?? Jason, Brooke, and Syesha should have went home a long time ago. Its gonna be between the two davids….but it honestly doesnt matter anymore. They will both be succesful for sure.

Aly April 29th, 2008

I agree, both Davids should make it to the finale and David Cook better win! Carly should have been third and Michael Johns 4th, but American Idol’s been like this since Taylor Hicks won season 5. Where is he now???? Look at how far Daughtry is in his career. AI is going to lose lots of viewers.

Cici April 30th, 2008

OMG!! I saw a hot video about them on the tall celebrity dating site –Tallkiss–co m, it is even hotter than some sexy models’ videos on that page!!

Bethie April 30th, 2008

Jason and Brooke should be the next two to go, if this were still a singing competiton. But I think Brooke will finally go home this week, just because America has to be getting sick of her now.
