TV Roundup: Big Brother Winner Takes Back Charity Donation

April 29, 2008

• Big Brother 9 winner Adam Jasinski had pledged $100,000 of his $500,000 prize to the United Autism Foundation. This, of course, was before he learned that his former employer had fired him in February for referring to autistic children on the show as “retards.” Can this show have any more plot twists?

• CBS will give The Price Is Right another shot at primetime during May sweeps. Can you see host Drew Carey saying, “Oh, it’s on Deal or No Deal!”

• This may be the swan song for Ashton Kutcher’s ugly duckling series, Beauty and the Geek. Geeks everywhere will now have to turn to their backup plan, True Life: I’m Dating a Geek.

omg.. he backed out on his donation??? Just when my opinion for him changed.. I can understand being pissed that you’re fired.. but you brought it upon yourself and why penalize the kids for your own stupidity. Give them the money!

I knew he wouldn’t go through with it. I work in Special Education, and when I heard him make that comment I was offended. But why make it worse for yourself after you make a comment like that to back out on your charitable donation?? I think he will be the most hated Big Brother winner.
