Rate Addison’s Return to Grey’s Anatomy

So Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) made her highly anticipated return to Seattle Grace last night. The pretense: to perform a tricky pediatric surgery on a patient whose baby’s heart is growing outside of its body. And while she told Bailey that she found it “strangely comforting that everything is the same here,” clearly that was Addison high on too much California sun talking. She spent the next hour playing catch up–and dispensing some tough love in the vein of Dr. Phil to her former colleagues, ex-hubby and ex-rival, you know, to make things right again–or, at least how she left them before heading to Private Practice.

Before we knew it, Addison ended her oh-so-brief visit by telling the Chief that she needed to come back to see that it was right to leave.

Tell us: After the big buildup for her return, what’d you think of Addison back at Seattle Grace? Would you rather see her back on Grey’s rather than Private Practice? And after last week’s slow start, is Grey’s back on track?

I miss Addison on Grey’s! Come back!!

I was a bit confused with the Ava pregnancy story. Because if she is making it up then why would she even go to the clinic for prenatal vitamins… Or does she think she is pregnant but instead it is something more serious… What do you guys think?

I really love Addison on Grey’s, but I also love Private Practice so I’m torn!

I loved the elavator scene where Derek, Mer, Addison, Rose, and McSteamy all got in together. Hilarious!!!!

I may be confused, but it was Izzy’s patient that turned out not to be pregnant, not Ava. The prenatal vitamins were for the lady that was HIV positive. She didn’t want the baby until Izzy said that there was a 98% rate that the baby would be healthy. Then the test results showed she wasn’t pregnant. Ava is still pregnant. That’s what I got out of it.

And I love Addison on Grey’s Anatomy. Haven’t watched Private Practice that much.

I understand that “Ava’s” real name is Rebeca and I also understood that it was her that wasn’t pregnant. Izzy told her she was going to do a sonogram but asked the nurse to take a blood sample. Those were the results she was handed at the end.

The HIV lady is pregnant… when she took the blood results, she said “Rebecca Pope” which is Ava. I took it as she miscarried but does not know it yet. When your pregnancy isn’t viable, it won’t be in your blood work. And remember the intern “couldn’t find the heartbeat” on the ultrasound

The HIV lady is pregnant, Ava/Rebecca Pope is not… I think she made it up to get Alex to stay with her instead of continually blowing her off. Maybe she still has a head injury or is just crazy but I think this will be the end of her since she is not becoming a full cast member. I liked her up until I found out she made it up!

Greys is getting better and better, when Callie asked Meredith and Christina if anyone thought they were a couple, their response is probably my favorite Grey’s moment EVER. Go Shonda for listening to us and fixing the show!

Addison? Ehh take her or leave her. You know she’ll be back for every baby surgery anyway so I doubt it’s the last we’ll see of her.

Ava was never preggers. In the beginning Izzy has her intern do a sonogram and remember he can’t find a heart beat. Izzy is like are you sure? And checks the chart and then mentions that in the early stages it’s possible to not see the baby so she does blood work and still (at the end of the episode) the results are: not pregnant.

Ava was obviously lying from jump (come on, she has dual persons! Clearly she’s a liar). She is obviously trying to trap Alex for some reason or simply worm her way back in his life. He’s going to be pissed when he finds out, although he warmed up to the idea at the end so hopefully he doesn’t get her pregnant for real!

I don’t want Addison to come back to Grey’s

I really like Private Practice and I think she gets in the way of Meredith and Derek and that is irritating. I like the story line of Private Practice.

The episode was so much better than last week’s, but I still need clarification on whether Hahn is gay or straight. That look did not convince me. For all we know that could have been a look of jealousy since Hahn from all accounts is attracted to Sloan, but refuses to go there since they are co workers. Guys if I was a betting woman I think it’s gonna go like this: Sloan is going to be caught between two women. One who offers convenient sex and another who forces him to man up and pursue a real relationship.
