It was a night of strange twists (Carlos and Gaby are housing a drug dealer; Orson is rooming with Edie), unexpected visits from husbands past (Susan’s ex Karl and Katherine’s ex Wayne) and the discovery of the real fire starter in the Rick restaurant fire (little Kayla!) on Desperate Housewives.
Let’s tackle the darkest storyline of the night first. Katherine and Wayne’s kitchen showdown left us afraid…very afraid (um, who was creepier: Katherine kneading dough like a Stepford wife with a handgun in the kitchen drawer or Wayne, looking like he’s still very hung up on her?).
And things are brewing at the Scavo household. We always knew little Kayla Scavo had a dark side (her mom, after all, was a wee bit crazy). And after last night, she makes Drew Barrymore’s Firestarter look downright angelic.
But this being Wisteria Lane, there was plenty of absurdity to lighten the mood. In an odd storyline, a financially-strapped Carlos and Gaby are forced to take in a boarder, Ellie Leonard (Justine Bateman), who, we’re led to believe is a tramp. But no, it gets better: she’s the neighborhood drug pusher. Meanwhile an about-to-pop Susan bumps into her ex-husband Karl and his new wife at lamaze class and is determined to one-up him in the happiness department.
While we’re loving how the Katherine/Dylan/Wayne storyline is shaping up– and laughed out loud watching poor, drunken Orson “hitch up his skirt” to get a ride with Edie after being thrown out by Bree–we’re wondering what’s going on with Carlos and Edie and Susan and Mike.
Tell us: What was your favorite storyline of the night? Which showdown (you know it’s coming) are you looking forward to the most: Katherine vs. Wayne, Lynette vs. Kayla or Bree vs Edie?
