Jason Castro is my dream boy. I can’t wait to buy his cd someday…his voice is phenomenal. He is so charming and sweet to top it all off. I’d marry him in a heartbeat.

I’m so disappointed – the last 3 weeks the judges berated Jason into “stepping it up” and “quit playing it safe,” then when he does, they say the nastiest things I’ve ever heard them say. Talk about setting him up – it was so obvious they were trying to get rid of him, and it’s so sad how they broke his spirit and confidence. I loved his style of music – I have all his songs downloaded, and like Paula said (at least she could be semi-nice), they’re like a comfortable cashmere sweater. I’ll definitely buy his CD when he makes one.

American Idol will be just plain boring without Jason Castro. He was the only shining star of the season! It took guts to perform Marley’s “I Shot The Sheriff” and Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man”; he had to have known they wouldn’t be well received by the judges who favor Pop songs and loud belters. By doing so anyway, he proved to the world that he knows who he is musically, can thoughly entertain his fans and is far edgier than the top 12 were altogether! I expect we’ll be seeing much more of Jason Castro in the future!

Jason was the only contestant on Tuesday night to have the guts to go outside the box…. I loved his “I shot the sheriff” it was great!!! I also loved his “Mr. Tambourine Man” so what if he forgot some words. David A. has goofed up his songs at least 4 times and the judges seem to overlook that. Carly said in an interview on ALW night all the contestants were laughing backstage because all of them had goofed up their songs. Listen to Jason’s “Mr. Tambourine Man” studio version it is great. I’m a big Dylan Fan (unlike Simon who said in an interview last year that he didn’t like Dylan “types” – probably why he was so hateful towards Jason that night). Anyhow without Jason, American Idol is once again boring – just so-so singers trying to belt out old ballads – except for David Cook.
