It’s Official: Jennie Garth Joins the New 90210

Kelly Taylor is returning to that exclusive zip code, 90210.

As was rumored, Jennie Garth will make special guest appearances on the CW’s new spinoff of Beverly Hills, 90210, playing a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly High, the network announced Saturday.

Garth is the first original cast member to sign on to the spinoff — though many former stars (including Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering) are lobbying for parts. Since the announcement was made last month, the cast has been rapidly filling up: Lori Loughlin has signed on to play Debbie Mills, wife of the high school principal who returns to take care of his alcoholic mother.

The high school principal has not yet been cast.

I think they should get Mr. Belding from “Saved by the Bell” to play the principal! Or maybe Mr. Feeny from “Boy Meets World” -that’d be great!

Jennie was so beautiful….I have aged better than her! And no, I am all natural, wrinkle-free and loving it! She must have a ton of money, since she still gets residuals and she has been acting for so long. What has happened to her face? As they say, beauty doesn’t last forever, everyone ages. She used to be so stunning in any look or anything she wore. It’s sad. Maybe having that brood of kids has done it!

Honestly, though the show was epic and a big influence particularly on young adults, I really do think this new 90210 is going to suck.

People are looking for that original greatness and whatnot..but does anyone remember the new casts that would come in on the old show, Saved by the Bell? Yeah not really. And yet the show kept going but the cast that everyone knew and loved was only the original cast. I think its going to be exactly like this with the new 90210.

Really I think this is a desperate attempt to get something good on..but honestly its a different day now. 90210 went out respectively. You don’t want a end a show when its actually -bad-.

Since the show is happening anyway, the choice to start a new 90210 is a better idea than continuing the old one. That way the 90210 that people knew and loved won’t be tarnished by the new one.

I give it a season or two…the hype will eventually die down.
