Kelly & Donna Together Again? Tori Spelling in Talks for New 90210

May 13, 2008

Tori Spelling, who played Donna Martin on the original Beverly Hills, 90210, is in negotiations with the CW about reprising her role in the network’s upcoming spin-off, which recently cast Jennie Garth as a counselor at West Beverly High.

“Jennie is already on board for the series and we have been in touch about it,” Spelling tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I would love to see our characters Kelly and Donna together again and get the chance to work with my friend again.”

The principal characters for the show have been cast for the pilot except Harry Mills, patriarch of the Mills family who moves his family from Kansas to Beverly Hills so he can take care of his alcoholic mother.

Since the network’s announcement that a spin-off was in the works, Spelling has expressed an interest in the show that originally set the standard for teen drama and featured fan-favorites Kelly, Dylan and Brenda.

“It was always my dad’s dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it,” said Spelling, 34, of her father, TV producer Aaron Spelling. “I truly hope for the fans’ sake that it all works out!”

A rep for the CW told PEOPLE, “At this point, there is nothing to report.”

Currently, Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are currently shooting her reality show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. The show premieres June 17 on Oxygen. –Ulrica Wihlborg and Elaine Aradillas

Yes, she would. BH 90210 was my all-time favorite show ever, and for her and Jennie to be back together would be great. Now does this mean Luke Perry and Brian Austin Greene are coming back too?

As much that is wrong into todays world its my belief that if bringing back an older grown up version of anything we used to Love & enjoy, helps us for 1 hr.to try not to think about war, gas, evil! Then go for it! How many more reality t.v. series can we stand, they have to be close to running short of ridiculous ideas excluding a few origianal reality concepts. With any luck, the kids we used to Love to watch will not flop as grown ups. Tori make your Daddy proud!

Like it or not; the show would not be complete without the full original cast, Dylan, Brandon, Donna, Brenda, David, Andrea and Steve; people from the college years; with the exception of Valerie….I could take them or leave them. Additionally, I think Dylan should be clean at this point in time, for good.

I can not wait to see the spin off - all the others who are not up for it can find something else to tune into. Me and my friends on the other hand can not wait.
I love the cast then and now and I think it will be great!!!
Good Luck 90210 - we will be watching :)

I am a really big fan of the original 90210 !!! I’m happy that they’re trying to bring it back…. HOWEVER… I’m hesitant to think it will be as good as the original… Bringing some of the old cast members into the new 90210 is really important if the producers want to make this work but again, without everyone (the entire original cast) on board…. I don’t know….. , I’m looking forward to see how this will work out or not… Good Luck guys !

As long as she keep s the spandex shorts and the white sportsbra on, I’m all for it. These 2 women solidified what it meant to use girl looks with the lips and hair on when it was time to give some head. They’re the best head givers in the world. I’d blow tremendously.
