Rosie & Fran Drescher In Talks For a New Show

May 15, 2008

At a luncheon in her honor at The Friars Club in Manhattan Thursday, Fran Drescher (The Nanny) shared a details about the television show she and Rosie O’Donnell are in the process of developing — a show that they would costar in if it becomes a reality.

“It’s called The New 30, and it’s about old friends who are living very different lives, but they live in the same building in Murray Hill, Manhattan,” Drescher explained. “It’s basically about middle-aged women on the verge of a midlife crisis.”

O’Donnell herself had talked about developing a show with Drescher on her blog in the past, but this is the first time a title has been revealed.

“We’re in talks with NBC,” Drescher says. “It’s not real yet, but we’re talking to NBC, so we’ll see what happens!” –Mark Dagostino

Tell us: Would you watch a show about middle aged women in New York starring Fran Drescher and Rosie O’Donnell?

Would watch anything with Fran Drescher, but would not watch Rosie O’Donnell ever!!!!!

Andrea May 15th, 2008

I still watch Fran Drescher on “The Nanny” reruns, but I can’t stand Rosie’s obnoxiousness and sense of knowing it all. Having her on there would be enough to ruin the show.

wez May 16th, 2008

Yeah, It would be great fun, these are funny gals
Yo, do it!!!!

patty May 16th, 2008

I love Rosie O’Donnell and everything she does.
She is a very funny person who has the right to voice her opion. Some may not agree with her but in america we have the right to say what we all feel. Can you imagin if you couldn’t say how you feel about something you thought was not right. I think Rosie has a big heart and a passion for life and has helped a lot of people. Some people have forgotten that. We need to give her a break already. Fran is also funny and i like watching her as well.

Madi May 16th, 2008

Can’t stand Rosie, she’s just plain mean, a bully and full of hate.
I would watch Fran, I liked her in The Nanny, too bad if she teams up with Rosie.

Jane May 16th, 2008

I would absolutely love to see these two in a show together!!!!!

Tina May 16th, 2008

The obnoxious accents that these 2 have would be enough to turn me off. NO WAY would I tune in!

kris May 16th, 2008

sounds like it might be worth watching…funny and entertaining at the very least!

Aileen May 16th, 2008

Anything other than reality shows would be great. Sounds a lot like the Mary Tyler Moore TV show back in the 1970’s. Mary and Rhoda(think that is how you spell it.) They are funny ladies, should be okay!

Margo May 16th, 2008

WTF???
Fran’s voice is enough to make you go deaf, talk about annoying!! Then Rosie’s too??? Who in their right mind would watch such a thing! LOSERS????
