David Archuleta is the best male vocalist on Idol this year, and as we were so often reminded of last year with the contest between Jordin Sparks (the better vocalist) and Blake Lewis (the better performer), this is a SINGING CONTEST. Yes, David Cook does have more stage presence at this time. He should have. He is considerably older and has had far more professional experience under his belt. Nevertheless, I connect with David A when he sings, but not with David C. We can each have our preference, but we should do it without being cruel and vicious. The thing that has distubed me about so many of the Cook fans who choose to post on forums, blogs, or web sites such as this, is that they go far beyond simply praising their favorite. They heap ridicule, disdain, and cruel remarks upon a good natured seventeen year old. I don’t understand how these people can look at themselves in the mirror every morning being so full of hatred. Plus, it is a bad reflection on David Cook. He seems like a decent fellow, and I am sure he would like for these so-called fans to shut up and disappear.

Thanks For Mentioning The Screams that Jason Castro Received when He walked in the Door!! Jason Along with Michael Johns and Carly Smithson are the Other Three that are Should be Ranked as the TOP 6! What’s Happened has Happened and We All have our Different Taste & Favorite Idol, But JASON
Ranks #1 in My Family— because He would have been the WHOLE PACKAGE(no experience-talented and more than humble & deserving!!) Then David Cook & Michael Johns & Carly Smithson are Tied for 2ND and David A,–very Good Voice and Deserves to be Up there too but Very Predictable(like Melinda Doolittle)and A little too much of a Pre-conceived

David Cook is definitely my fav to win AI. He has the whole package: perfect voice and vibrato, mature manly voice; versatile in many styles of music, perfect breathing techniques to support his perfect pitch, and perfect diction, enunciation of words so you can understand the lyrics of his songs. His performances are consistently stellar and energetic, and DC has the charisma of a rock star. I will definitely buy his music and go to his concerts!

David Cook !!!! He’s got an amazing voice and talent, and has constantly demonstrated that he can pull off just about any song from any genre.
David A. has a great voice, but the predictability of song choices has become a bit boring. He is too young, lacks the confidence and charisma of David Cook. I am afraid however, that David A.’s talent will be just brutally exploited and marketed, weather he wins or not. Give him a few years to grow up, work on his self confidence and make his own desicions, and then go for it
again. As far as Fantasia is concerned, her performance and appearance were a disgrace to the title “American Idol”.
