Jordin Sparks to David Cook: Get Some Sleep

She just handed over her crown, but season six champ Jordin Sparks is still dishing out the Idol-related advice. So, what does the 18-year-old singer have to say to new winner David Cook?

“Sleep as much as you can because you don’t get any sleep,” she told reporters after performing on Wednesday’s finale. “It’s a year later and I still haven’t gotten a whole eight hours of sleep yet … I’m still reeling from winning last year. But, I guess I would say just try and enjoy every moment you have.”

As for her favorite David, Sparks is as diplomatic as you might expect from a reigning Idol. “I voted for both of them last night so I can’t really say I had a favorite,” she said. “I got to meet both of them and they were so sweet! Both of them are going to be fine. I’m so proud of both of them.”

When it came to Cook’s victory, Sparks says it was a bit of déjà vu. “I was totally just reliving the moment that I won. “They were taking pictures and I was like, ‘I have to watch this, I’m sorry.’” –Brian Orloff and Jed Dreben

Why does it seem like she is so pessimistic? She hasn’t had one positive thing to say about this season at all! And for someone who almost lost to a beatboxer (who I voted for) in a singing contest, she should be thankful for where she’s at. I think her music is a poor excuse for an Idol’s album and that’s why last year was one of the worst in history. I think her attitude needs to take an immediate 180 - just cuz your daddy’s famous, doesn’t mean you can walk into it as well. Be thankful for what you’ve had the chance to do…

She wasn’t all that good. I was very surprised that she won. Her only good song, has Chris Brown on it. Most of the Idols are not that fantastic. I hated how Fantasia sang, she sounded like an illiterate little kid who was missing their teeth and her stylist needs to be shot, Clay is whatever he is, can’t begin to tell you who won all the seasons. I only watch the beginning for the laughs and then I stop.

I don’t think she was complaining she was just saying get some sleep. It didn’t look like oyu had anything positive to say either so get off you high horse and get over yourself. And by the way I don’t think Jordin got to the top due to her fatheer unless he called in and made every vote last year.

Chill out Emilie!!! She’s only 18. What 18 year old always says the right things and has the greastest words of wisdom. So she said “get some sleep” BIG DEAL. By the looks of Lil’ David Archuletta last night, it’s looks like Jordyn had some good advice.
