This is the show’s 2nd season. Its fantastic. My Husband was a “Derrick Hand” on the rigs. The show has nothing to do about “Rooster” Like “Deadliest Catch” it exposes and enlightens viewers of all aspects of the industry the cast members earn thier living in. And by the way; MOST of these Reality Shows like “Ice Road Truckers” are not even paid except from the company the drivers haul for. The networks are not paying these people. They only get paid after several seasons have proven the show is a hit. In a time of job loss, stress, and an uncertain future, I like sitting down and relaxing and watching how other people live and work.

Good Ole Boy does not translate to racist in any way. His son’s name is a hotmess but Good Ole Boys are pretty much just country boys who love their family, have good manners, and believe in treating people with respect.Not really caring about what may be the cool thing as apposed to what is right. redneck translate more to racist but even then you can’t lump everyone together.

I live in Midland And this is a good family they are not racist Mathew just had a baby by a Brazilian model and Rooster is married to a mexican girl so you need to re-check your deinition of a good ol boy. When Mathew comes to town he hangs out at the local bars he is very down to earth. The McConaughey’s love latin women so racist they are far from.

Were I am from, the great state of Texas, “Good Ole Boy” is considered a complimentary term. It that means you are
good person, someone that is well liked and someone that can be counted on. I don’t what part of the country you live in were the words good ole boy would suggest anything about whether or not a person is a racist. And who are to be so quick to judge someone you have never met. You see a man from Texas in jeans, boots and a hat and label him a racist. Then you go on to say he “has issues” because of what he chose to name HIS child. What do you care what he names his kid. At least he works to support that child, which is more than some do! And a least most will be able to pronounce Miller Lyte unlike alot of other culturally influenced names! So stop judging people and calling them racist when what you really need to be doing is taking a long, hard look in the mirror.
