Shannen Doherty in Talks to Return to 90210

July 2, 2008

The Peach Pit just got a whole lot more interesting.

Shannen Doherty, the bad girl of ’90s Hollywood, is in talks to reprise her role as good girl Brenda Walsh in the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff, EW.com reports.

Doherty, who was reputedly difficult on set and frequently clashed with her costars, was fired from the original show in 1994.

Currently, the main things standing in the way of the return of Brenda Walsh would be her demand for more money and to be clued in on the plotlines of The CW’s new version of the primetime teen soap.

“She wants to know what the story is going to be first,” EW.com quotes a source as saying.

Others returning to West Beverly Hills High School in their former roles include Tori Spelling, 35, and Jennie Garth, 36, with whom Doherty, 37, allegedly once engaged in a fistfight. –Michael Y. Park

Yes, I was defintely hoping she would be back. I always hoped she would come back before 90210 ended. Now I can’t wait to see it!!! I hope they all come back but I was rooting most for her and Tori.

Who cares. She is an idiot!

KSGirl July 2nd, 2008

No, not really.

I’d love to see Shannen return, but let’s get some of the original guys back as well! C’mon Jason or Luke…y’all must have some bills to pay! LOL!

I love Shannen and it would be awesome to see her on the new 90210! I am sure people will be against it because of her past, but really that all happened when she was much younger, she has grown up a lot since then and it a great actress!

Erica July 2nd, 2008

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!

Beth July 2nd, 2008

Even though I won’t watch the new show, I loved the original one and I think having Brenda on the show would be great! You always need drama on a set!

Larisa July 2nd, 2008

Having Shannen Doherty reprise her role as Brenda would quite possibly be the best thing for the new 90210. Brenda has always been a fan favorite, despite her problems with the rest of the original cast. I don’t believe there are many BH90210 fans out there that wouldn’t love to see her come back after being gone for nearly 14 years.

Love Her!!! I think it is a great idea..I loved this show when Shannon was part of it

ashlee July 2nd, 2008

No! Shannen needs to stay as far away from the new 90210 as possible. She was a nightmare on and off the show, and there is a reason she was fired in 1994. She’s a miserable mess.
