• Are the producers of Grey’s Anatomy going to kill off Izzie? Sources are speculating that Katherine Heigl’s character might meet her end because of remarks the actress made when she pulled herself out of the running for this year’s Emmys.
• Army Wives, a huge hit for Lifetime, has been renewed for an 18 episode third season, beginning in 2009.
• Ugly Betty spoiler alert! Change is in store for Betty Suarez — and not just because production of the show moved to New York City. Christopher Gorham, who plays love interest No. 1 Henry, is set to star in CBS drama Harper’s Island, and won’t be back on Betty. Meanwhile, Freddy Rodriguez, who plays love interest No. 2 Gio, is only expected to come back for one episode. Perhaps Betty’s future lies with with Val Emmich, who was just cast as the hunky Jesse.
• GLAAD has named FX the most responsible channel in the organization’s first ranking of cable networks. ABC was given the best grade among the network broadcasters and FOX was ranked the worst.
