While Courteney Cox is filming scenes for her three-episode arc on Scrubs, a producer of the show, which is moving to ABC in the fall, was singing her praises at a Television Critics Association panel in Los Angeles Wednesday.
“We’d have her back in a heartbeat,” executive producer Bill Lawrence told reporters. “She’s what we call a gamer. She’s up for anything. I don’t think you get that all the time with big name actresses.”
In fact, while Lawrence was chatting with reporters, Cox — who plays the new Chief of Medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital — was back on the set “with her face jammed into a fake corpse,” according to Lawrence. “She has gunk all over her face.”
As far as his plan to have Cox return to the show someday, Lawrence said, “I don’t know if we’ll be able to but we’ll certainly try.” – Liza Hamm and Lisa Ingrassia
