Katie Holmes’s Eli Stone Costars Gush About Working with Her

Katie Holmes is already a hit with the cast of Eli Stone .

“She was super gracious and lovely,” Natasha Henstridge, who plays the title character’s ex-fiancée Taylor Wethersby, said at an ABC party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Thursday night. “And statuesque and gorgeous.”

And not afraid to contribute a little elbow grease when necessary. The first thing Holmes did during her guest-starring turn was help move furniture.

“I was literally moving a table with [executive producer] Greg Berlanti at the table read, and Katie came in and said, ‘Do you guys need any help?’” Henstridge said.

“Katie throws down her Starbucks and runs over to help move tables,” said Jason Winston George, who plays Keith Bennett on the show.

Holmes, who began filming her guest spot on Tuesday, is slated to appear in the Oct. 21 episode of the legal dramedy. She plays a nonprofit attorney. –Michael Y. Park and Liza Hamm

Oooh, how gracious of Katie Holmes to help cast members and her producer (i.e., her boss) move a table! That proves what a great person she is; I can totally see why they alerted the media.

She didn’t go around announcing it to the world - someone else did that. Granted, it isn’t news, but a small act can say something about someone’s character. There are a lot of divas out there, and she isn’t one of them. Give the girl a break!

I don’t get why people hate her and Tom Cruise so much. I think she is beautiful and has a beautiful family and people are way too hard on them. Here you have a loving family who are doing what they have to do to be happy. Leave these people alone. You harrass them but let some of these other ones go with cheers when they should be getting the jeers. Katie and Tom keep it going!

Although helping someone move tables isn’t a big deal in itself, I think the majority of other actors wouldn’t have bothered. I agree - it says a nice thing about her character.

Wow! People sure are mean when they are jealous. Most people in this world don’t bother to do anything which isn’t required of them. I totally agree with Trish - get over yourselves and give Katie a break!

Would this really be news material if she were not Tom Cruise’s spouse? C’mon. Moving tables? Pre-Cruise Katie was youthful and sweet in interviews. Now, she is spitting image of Mrs. Cleaver - soft spoken, ladylike and also Robot like! seriously people - I read this out of boredom - and I am still bored. I think I will go read something that could enhance my brainpower, not kill it. Maybe you all should too.
