It came down to the Top 4 on last night’s So You Think You Can Dance finale–Courtney Galiano, Katee Shean, Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss and Joshua Allen. Find out which contestant was crowned Dance champ after the jump.
After nearly 60 million votes nationwide, Joshua Allen, the 19-year-old street dancer-extraordinaire from Fort Worth, Texas, was crowned America’s Dance champ on the finale of So You Think You Can Dance.
Allen set the dance bar to new heights being the first hip-hop dancer in the show’s history to be crowned the winner, beating out fellow finalists Courtney Galiano, Katee Shean and Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss for the $250,000 prize money and a featured dancing role in director Adam Shankman’s Step Up 3D.

Thursday’s finale show featured guest performances from the Jonas Brothers, surprise acts (judge Mary Murphy dancing the samba and Nigel Lythgoe tapping onstage) and the return of this year’s Top 20, who took the stage together one last time to perform a Shane Sparks number.
“I don’t think it’s even just sunk in all the way,” the elated Allen told PEOPLE backstage after his win. “Oh, my god, is it me, is it really me!”
Allen will have two weeks to let the news sink in before he hits the road to join the SYTYCD tour.
The 19-year-old, who was revealed to be one of the two dancers along with Boss to suffer serious bouts of dehydration only days before the final performance show, has already planned his time off wisely. He said, “Rest, rest, rest…and did I mention–rest.” –Jed Dreben
