Audrina Patridge has spoken out about Internet rumors that Lauren Conrad has been “hooking up” with her sometimes-boyfriend Justin Bobby.
Though the Hills star will not confirm nor deny their veracity, Patridge has blasted reports on her official blog.
“These rumors are very confusing and hurtful,” she writes in a post on Friday. “I’m not sure what to believe,” she writes, noting that she and Justin Bobby “have not been exclusive for quite some time.”
But Patridge and Bobby are definitely still on. Recently, the two were spotted hanging out at West Hollywood’s Crown Bar, where an onlooker says they were “totally inseparable all night” and were “giggling, laughing and playfully holding hands.”
Conrad also took to the Web Friday to set the record straight. “This accusation is insulting on so many levels,” she posted on her MySpace page. “I’m being accused of being a bad friend, a slut and a liar all at once. It would actually be funny to me if people weren’t taking it seriously.”
To put to rest any doubts about the rumors, Lauren put it this way: “I did not and would never hook up with Justin.”
But before signing off, she spoke directly to Audrina in her post. “We promised we wouldn’t let people get into our ears and make us fight,” she wrote. “You KNOW I didn’t do this and I have never given you a reason not to trust me. What you are doing is hurtful and I don’t want to fight with you.”
Recently, Conrad has been linked to My Boys star Kyle Howard. The pair have frequently stopped in for jazz night at Teddy’s inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and were more recently seen together there on Oct. 2. – Brian Orloff
