Dancing’s Tony Dovolani & Susan Lucci Survive Tornado — on All My Children

October 5, 2008

In the ballroom, actress Susan Lucci is used to taking direction from her Dancing With the Stars partner, Tony Dovolani.

But on Thursday it was Lucci giving Dovolani a few tips when he guest starred with her in a scene on her ABC soap opera All My Children.

In the episode, which will air the week of October 27, Lucci’s character, Erica Kane is injured in a deadly tornado that hits Pine Valley. She is trapped in a tunnel, then rescued and taken to a local emergency room. Dovolani plays a fellow ER patient who suffered a broken leg in the tornado.

This is not the first acting experience for Dovolani, who recently launched Ballroomdancechannel.com. He played Slick Willy in the 2004 film Shall We Dance, with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez. – Monica Rizzo

Today I think Susan Lucci’s panther dance is Tony Dovolani on Dancing With The Stars.

Actually, Kristie, they had a natural gas explosion at the Mardi Gras Ball a couple years ago. The last tornado was in 1994.
