It has been five months since Audrina Patridge has blogged, but she has come back online with a vengeance.
“I’m a real girl, with a real busy schedule. Please don’t get all pissy with me because I can’t keep on top of my myspace. I like to personally manage it, so it takes me a while,” writes Patridge on her blog.
And with the war of words intensifying between Patridge and her Hills pal Lauren Conrad over an alleged hookup between Conrad and Patridge’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby, Patridge has even more interest in getting her side across, even sitting down recently with Ellen DeGeneres to talk about the situation.
“There’s this rumor going round that they hooked up,” she told the talk show host. “We’re kind of in a rut right now.”
“It’s horrible,” she added of the fall-out with Conrad and Bobby, whom Patridge dated “on and off” for four years. “Neither of them has tried to talk to me.”
Betrayal isn’t the only injury Patridge has suffered–she also revealed on her blog that she hurt her ankle in the show’s shallower-than-expected dunk tank. Taking time to recover, she says, is giving her opportunity to respond by blogging.
“Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you to the fans who are taking a step back from their pre conceived notions and looking at this whole rumor situation from all angles. There are a lot of things you guys don’t get to see,” writes Patridge. “But we have real feelings and these are all real situations that we have to deal with, not only amongst ourselves but with the entire world watching, and judging.”
If anything, this latest Hills drama may have Patridge logging onto the Internet more frequently to address her fans directly. She writes: “I have a lot I need to get off my chest lately, as there are a lot of false and malicious things being said about me. So I’ll be posting often.” –Pete Norman
