Jason Priestley: 90210 Reunion with Jennie or Shannen Would Be ‘Fun’

October 10, 2008

Now that Jason Priestley will return to direct an episode of 90210, he’s looking forward to getting to know the new kids on the block–and reconnecting with some of the original Peach Pit gang.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” Priestley told Ryan Seacrest during a call-in Friday to the talk show host’s KIIS-FM radio show. “It’s going to be a lot of fun to go over there and work with all those guys.”

Priestley went on to say: “I just hope that Jennie’s in the episode that I do, or that Shannen’s there, That’d be fun for me.”

He should know—Garth, who happens to be his neighbor in L.A., tells him she’s “having a really good time over there.”

Priestley, who directed 18 episodes of the original series, will get behind the cameras in January.

While plans don’t include him coming back to reprise the role of heartthrob Brandon Walsh, Priestley says returning to direct the spin-off is a no-brainer: “It kind of fits like a glove, really.”

Leigh October 10th, 2008

I am so excited that Jason will be directing an episode (or more) of 90210. I hope that they get him in front of the camera as well. As much as I loved Dylan, Brandon was always my favourite!

PLus having him and Kelly together again would be lots of fun!

Jenn October 10th, 2008

Agreed, Leigh. And he really should have been Kelly’s child’s father, not Dylan!

Jonathan October 10th, 2008

This should be a lot of fun, etc.

Scout October 10th, 2008

I’m glad Dylan’s the dad because Brandon would never abandon Kelly. I really hope they persuade him to come back on the show occasionally - Brandon & Kelly belong together!

kristina October 10th, 2008

its great that Jason (Brandon) is coming back to direct an episode…however I (along with others, im sure) would rather see him in front of the camera.

Ellen October 10th, 2008

I think that is so awsome and totally agree that he should go back in front of the camera. I hate that Dylan’s the dad he and Brenda always belonged toghther if you ask me bRandon and Kelly were another one of my favorites though.

Willie October 10th, 2008

Unless Jennie or Shannen are signed to extensions, their contracts are up. Don’t bet on either of them returning if the ratings stay high without them. New viewers don’t connect to the old show as much as the veteran watchers.

Jamie October 10th, 2008

I love the new 90210! I loved the old 90210! I love the fact that the old cast is being incorporated. I would love to see everyone show up on screen. AHHHH…isn’t TV wonderful!

Chris October 10th, 2008

I love the new show…loved the old one even more. Their roles are what drew me into the new show. I may lose interest if they don’t keep some of the old story line alive as well. Having Brandon back would be awesome. I agree - it should have been he and Kelly all along. I was always a Brenda fan though and loved her with Dylan.

Jessica October 10th, 2008

willie why are you saying that jennie’s contract is up she signed up for the whole show she’s the freakin counselor and besides the only one who is iffy is shannen and it will be great for jason to come back
