Thought Georgina was a good “add” to Gossip Girl. Enjoyed Blair’s “handling” of the situation and the results! Even if Georgina comes back “meaner” than ever, I do hope there will be a sign of redemption for her…as we all hope there is for us…and hope to see evidence of such!!!

That is awful news. I was very anxious for her to leave before, now even less excited for her return. Her character only stirs up trouble and seems to offer very little if anything to the plot and the lessons offered in the show. I hope this visit is short-lived and the last one from Georgina.

I’m not excited at all about Georgina coming back because she is a total b*tch and she is not welcome. Everytime Michelle joins a show, she ruins it. I used to watch Buffy and when she came along as her “sister” she totally ruined it. And now Gossip Girl. What is wrong with her ? She is a total mess and I hate her. I hate her with all my heart.

I have to admit that Michelle did something as the character of Georgina Sparks that no one on any other show has done for me – she really made me hate her character. I absolutely despised Georgina for the way that she acted and the things that she did. For her to be able to bring that much personality to the character of Georgina where I actually despise her was truly amazing to me. I look forward to seeing Michelle back as Georgina. I can’t wait to see if I’m going to love her or hate her!

Ew, absolutely not looking forward to her return to the show. Michelle Trachtenburg was great in other roles and it’s nothing against her as an actress, but I don’t like Georgina at all. Her character was pointless and the story lines she brought in weren’t necessary as far as I can tell.

I think her character is to Gossip Girl what Oliver was to the OC – an annoying plotline in season one with an annoying character that no one really seems to give a rat’s ass about. Forgetable at most.

B, and Alex – you guys probably like a bunch of things that aren’t that great or worthwhile, I’d bet. I can’t speak for all the fans, but as for myself – I watch GG for it’s connections to Alexis Bledel and Amy Sherman-Palladino. As that, it’s THE only show I actually watch every week. It’s a well-cast, well-written show, and deserves the praise it gets.

It’s a soap, and no one’s expecting it to be true-to-life. That would be, in a word, boring. It’s nice to take a break from reality now and then.

As for investing time and energy – it’s on for an hour a week; less than that if you’re watching online. Add five-ten minutes for those of us who comment or chat about it.
