I don’t like the new rule… it makes my vote irrelevant… why even have a show that you can vote if someone else has the power to overrule it… it makes no sense… Go back to the old model… quick!

Last night they kept saying how such a rule could have kept Chris Daughtry from an early elimination. As I recall, he was eliminated while in the top 4 so this rule wouldn’t apply. They should think of some better reason for having such a rule.

I think that it is a moot point, really. If a person is the lowest vote getter one week and gets saved, then they have to leap frog two people the next week to survive since it will be a double elimination. I think people have their panties in a wad for no reason really. Just because you win doesn’t mean you make it, Taylor Hicks anyone? And just because you get ousted doesn’t mean your a failure, a la Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson. So calm down America, it is irrelevant in the long scheme of things; these people have already received the Idol gift, and that is exposure. Beyond that, you’re just splitting hairs.

I think it is a good rule. However, I am so sick of hearing about Chris Daughtry. America voted him off because he was not the best and it was his time to go. Plus, I think everyone thought he was getting a little too cocky.

I think it is a fabulous idea! I was devastated when Jennifer Hudson was eliminated. I thought it was a huge mistake on America’s part. I am very guilty in the past of thinking that other people are voting for the best and obviously it’s just not the case. I hope they use the vote wisely!

I don’t like the Judges save rule, the contestants are all ready feeling bad for be being rejected only to sing and then be rejected again by the judges.
