Everyone was working each other’s last nerve on The Hills. Steph let down Lauren and Lo at work and seriously pissed off the boss lady. Justin Bobby and Audrina had a shouting match in public. Heidi had another heated exchange with Stacie and then went home to play the blame game with Spencer.
The Brodrina Fallout Continues: Aud was working a showcase for The Script and got a call from Justin Bobby. Apparently, he’d been contacting her constantly since Hawaii. She agreed to meet the next day. At Boho, she didn’t waste any time getting into the nitty gritty. “We’re at a dead end right now and need to go our separate ways. We can’t even be friends. It doesn’t work. I came to say goodbye face-to-face. Don’t call. Don’t text. It’s over.” She jumped up from the table but JB gave chase. The fight continued on the street where he brought up bunking with Brody. She reminded him that they were never monogamous. “If I spent the night in Lauren’s room, you would freak out,” he retorted. (Good point although not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison.) She met with Steph to give her the play-by-play and swore that they are over … again. “I look at him and I think of all the bad things now. Karma’s a b—h.”
Boy Crazy: At lunch, Steph admitted to Lauren that she was scared of their boss but was going to take a break from stressing about work to go on a manhunt starting with a DJ she just met. LC hinted less than subtly that she probably shouldn’t let her guard down on the job just yet but Steph’s pea brain couldn’t focus on anything other than the boy.
Lo and Behold: LC was pulling clothes for an important photo shoot at Smashbox, where Lo had recently procured a position. She had to run to the store and left Steph to finish packing the clothes and inputting the order into the computer. As she was explaining what needed to be done, Steph’s mind was wandering and she took a phone call from the DJ. It was inevitable that her half-listening and full-flirting was a recipe for disaster. Not shockingly, LC arrived at the shoot but not all of the clothes did. She called Steph to taxi over the stuff she forgot and not only did she play dumb, but she didn’t offer to help fix it because she was “having her lunch break” with the mix master. LC was left to fend for herself. Steph suspected she’d screwed up and LC confronted her about it during the next shared shift. When Steph suggested telling Kelly it was all her fault, LC lamented. “It’s on me either way. It makes me look bad. She told me your mistakes are mine.” When Kelly arrived, she pulled LC into her office to hear the details. Kelly argued the forgotten fashions were Steph’s responsibility and when LC said that she was on lunch, Kelly reasoned. “I haven’t had a lunch break in five years.” She then instructed her to fire Steph by the end of the week. “I told you that if something happened with her, you were responsible. Do it quick. Think guillotine. Clean.” (Watch the clip.)
Dropping a Dime: Stacie texted Heidi asking her to come to The Dime for a chat. Heidi went to fight another round for her man, but Stacie seemed more interested in moving on right after she scored some more air time. “I feel bad for the words we’ve exchanged. I don’t know why we have to fight over a guy I don’t want to date. It’s not worth it.” But Heidi was not done saying her peace. She again requested that the bartender stop phoning Spencer. It devolved quickly into name-calling. Heidi called her “a homewrecker and a rude slut.” (This is where the folks at the bar started paying attention.) Stacie snapped back, “You’re crazy. I feel bad for you. Your boyfriend’s a [BEEP].” Heidi eventually told Spencer that she’s gone to the bar (“Satan’s dungeon”) and “taken care of” her. (His Tony Soprano crack was hilarious!) He promised he’d had no contact and she dared him to find another Stacie to see what happens. Spencer felt humiliated that she still thinks he’s going to cheat. (We don’t like to side with Spencer, but he does seem to be trying to do right by his relationship while Heidi can’t seem to let it go.) –Carrie Bell
Tell us: Does Steph deserve to be fired? Should Heidi lay off Spencer or is he getting what he deserves? Will Aud cave and go back to JB again?
