American Idol: The Night, According to Paula Abdul

Whether she’s sugar-coating her critiques of contestants, smacking Simon Cowell for saying something inappropriate off mic, or performing her very own song on the Idol stage, Paula Abdul has proven to be the judge who’s most fun to watch over the course of any American Idol season.

So, we thought it fitting to condense Tuesday’s hour of performances (by Adam Lambert and Kris Allen) and feedback (from the judges) into the night, according to Paula (with a little Randy Jackson thrown in).

Paula is way better than Kara. Kara babbles on and on trying to impress everyone with her words. Paula has been there from day 1 and cannot be replaced. Kara should go. One year is enough of her.

I love Paula (although I *do* get a little tired of her babbling sometimes) and Kara is (as Randy would say) “just alright for me”. Kara doesn’t bother me at all and I think that sometimes she has some really useful stuff to say. At other times, she’s just taking time from what who really want to hear… Simon.

Although, to be honest, his biased critiques this year have made me tired of listening even to him. That’s too bad, really. I used to really love me some Simon…

Kara AND Paul are both great! Kara expresses herself in a dynamic way and gives good critiques because she’s a music writer/producer. She knows what sells and basically tells the contestants. Paula, on the other hand, is like a Mother who is very careful to choose her words when critiquing! Yes, she’s had some stumbles in speaking in the past, but she means well and is NOT stupid or dumb!

I’d like to continue seeing both on next year. Variety, after all, IS the spice of life!!
