Kris Allen’s season-long growth as an artist is the kind of victory America loves to see and support and with Gokey’s fans falling into Allen’s camp, I predicted that Kris Allen would be the next ‘American Idol. And Truly Most Deserving! the only people upset are the ones who believed all the Hype! Congrats again Kris I voted for you 4 hours straight!!!

Yes, AI is a singing contest, but it is a singing contest to find the artist that meets the the American public’s image of an American Idol (ie…popular culture & relevance).

While Adam is an OUTSTANDING vocalist (probably the best the show has seen), his sound does not translate to American radio in 2009-2010 as much as Kris Allen.

I truly thought and still think that Adam should have won. Danny should have been in 2nd. Last nights performance of Danny singing a Lionel Ritchie song confirms that. And Adam with Queen, that is a match made in heaven! They should sign him now and go back to making music that inspires and rocks the world the way they did when Freddy was with us.

Although I cannot vote as I am from Canada, I think America got it right. Adam – however wonderfully talented he is – seemed too much like a one trick pony to me. Also, Kris would of received votes from Danny’s fans – I really don’t think it matters who the ultimate winner is because I think they are both going to be terrific!!!

I also don’t understand the outrage – it’s not like a panel of judges decided – nearly 100 million votes tells the tale and more than half of them can’t ALL be wrong!

Way to go Kris! (and your fans)

While I really LOVED Adam..I personally think that NOT winning is the best thing for him. Now he won’t be destined to sing songs such as that stupid song that Kara wrote. He is far too fabulous for that! He was made for singing that fabulous rock music of my youth, such as he did with Kiss last night.

Kris has a perfect voice for pop radio and I think he’ll be a great American Idol.

There were no losers last night!

This is BS, Adam BY FAR was a more talented vocalist, and performer. He didn’t win because of the speculation about his sexual preference. I will never watch this show again.

They were both incrediable performers and Adam started out so strong but Kris won me over with his first performance of Ain’t No Sunshine and from then on my vote went to Kris. I think both of them have an exciting career ahead of them.
