In most cases familiarity breeds contempt, but after 55 days and with just five house guests remaining in the BB House, it just breeds crazy.
Michele went from weeping to leaping with joy as Jeff and Jordan’s worst nightmare came true when they found themselves facing each other on the eviction block. Add to that the fact that HOH Kevin got his greedy paw locked in a box while the rest of the house scampered about the yard collecting cash that rained down from the sky and what you have is just another day in the BB house.
After winning HOH, Kevin has kicked his game into high gear. The graphic designer has played a smart, patient and under-the-radar strategy. Somehow, despite being aligned with some of this season’s most volatile characters, Kevin has never upset the BB apple cart. In fact, Kevin’s genius lies in the fact that he’s avoided it at every turn. The game that he has developed should make “Teflon Ron” green with envy.
With Jeff still reeling at the fact that he had been nominated for eviction, Michele swooped in to take the POV competition — and it didn’t take a PhD to know that she was going to use it on herself.
With Jordan weeping and promising to throw herself under the bus so that Jeff could survive another day, and with a secure Michele (the brain) trying to convince Kevin to keep Jeff (the brawn) in the house, the turning point may very well have been the BB Pandora’s Box.
Kevin was called to his HOH room, where he was greeted by a note that cryptically read, “To release $10,000, put your hand in the hole.” If Kevin’s game has a flaw, it’s that he’s chasing money. True to form, Kevin threw caution to the wind, saying “I’m thinking I’m going to do this, because I’m a greedy bitch. Pandora’s Box, here I come! “
Bad idea! He ended up in lockdown while his housemates ran wild, gathering up currency that fell from the sky. As he watched his ally Natalie shovel dollar bills into her pants rather than coming to his aide, Kevin realized that his own greed had led him to a startling epiphany: “Big Brother is an individual game,” he said. “No matter what alliance or friendships I’ve created, people are out for the money in this game — out for themselves.” –Reagan Alexander
