Living Lohan: Meet Michael Lohan Jr.

June 16, 2008

The Father’s Day episode of Living Lohan didn’t introduce Lindsay’s dad Michael Lohan to the show – but rather Michael Lohan Jr., Lindsay’s 20-year-old brother. “My family has gone through so much,” Michael Jr. says, “Whether it be my mom in court, Lindsay going through all her crap, us having to take the slack from it…” Michael Jr. is beckoned home from college to hang with his lonely brother, Cody, 11, and ends up fighting with his girlfriend of 18 months Nina, whom he has brought home to meet the family. “Definitely the most serious relationship I’ve ever had,” Michael Jr. says. Although he’s a nice guy, Michael Jr. may have his father’s (lack of) luck with women. The GF requests to go home mid-stay. – Nicholas White

Living Lohan: Mean Girls 2

June 9, 2008

Life isn’t always fun and glamorous for Lindsay Lohan’s 14-year-old sister Ali, as viewers saw on Sunday’s Living Lohan on E!. Having a famous sister makes her “kind of like the target,” she says, after getting taunted by her peers. One girl says, “Stop trying to be like Lindsay.” Another shouts, “Ali, where are you going, are you going to rehab?” Jealous much?

Things go from bad to worse when Ali’s guidance counselor calls up mom Dina to let her know she’s getting teased at school. “Here we go again: Mean Girls 2. I’m calling Tina Fey, we’re doing a Mean Girls 2,” Dina says. “Ali catches a lot of flak because of what happened with Lindsay. They walk down the hall singing the “Rehab” song.”

Dina decides to keep Ali home for a day or two and all is resolved when Ali learns to cope at a music program to encourage growth. –Nicholas White

Dina Lohan Doesn’t Want Lindsay on Her Reality Show

May 19, 2008

It seems what’s good for Ali Lohan is not necessarily good for big sis Lindsay—at least when it comes to the E! network reality-TV show Living Lohan, according to mom Dina Lohan.

“I told Lindsay I don’t want her on the show right now,” Lohan tells TV Guide. “Doing reality TV would almost be taking a step backward as far as her career.”

But for Lindsay’s 14-year-old sister, Ali, the show’s a step up from relative obscurity (à la MTV’s The Ashlee Simpson Show, which plucked another then-unknown sibling out of the shadow of her famous sister).

The eight-episode series, which premieres on Memorial Day, will document Dina and Ali’s temporary move from the family’s home in Merrick, New York, to Las Vegas, where little sis will record her new album.

“I just want to get the message across that we are a normal family,” says Dina, who insists she’s not a “crazy party mom” and she’s “never partied with Lindsay.”

In fact, Dina says she’s doing this reality show to clear the air: “I did this to defuse the rumors about my family. The media has just been so horrific to us over the past two years.” –Janet Murphy
