Audrina Patridge Talks About New Show, Old Boyfriend

June 24, 2009

Audrina Patridge is moving beyond The Hills, but she’s staying at MTV.

“It’s like my home,” she tells PEOPLE of the network that picked up her new show, which will cover her life after The Hills.

“I’m going to be a producer on my new show with Mark Burnett,” she said Tuesday at the Reebok “EasyTone” Footwear Celebration at a private home in Beverly Hills. “We start filming at the end of the summer.”

Audrina has said the show will be “spicier, edgier, older,” and will focus on “new love” and “romances.”

One of those romances may very well be with her ex, Australian BMX rider Corey Bohan, who joined her recently on a Mexican vacation.

“When I start filming my show that kind of stuff will be on it,” she said of their trip.

But are the exes officially back together? “Corey and I have an amazing time together. My family loves him. We’ve been spending a lot of time together,” she said. “I’m not jinxing anything because as soon as I say anything, I swear it goes bad. And then it like flips around and you’re like, ‘Why did I say anything?’ We’ll see what happens.” (more…)

Lauren Calls The Hills Finale ‘Bittersweet’

June 2, 2009

After Sunday’s finale on MTV, Lauren Conrad is officially over The Hills, and she says she’s ready to move on to “some interesting new projects.”

In a post on her Celebrity MySpace page, Conrad says watching Monday’s finale was “bittersweet.”

“A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision,” she says. “While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference.”

Conrad also thanks her fans for watching and for helping her “accomplish so many aspirations.” As for those new projects, which may include her first novel, Conrad says, “I will keep you all updated.”

And what does she know about the upcoming season of The Hills, which now stars her Laguna Beach rival Kristin Cavallari?

Says LC: “From what I’ve heard the next season will not disappoint.”

Tell us: Will you miss Lauren on The Hills? What should she do next? Will Kristin stir up as much drama?

The Hills Finale: So Long LC, Hello Kristin!

June 1, 2009

The Hills finale said goodbye to another dramatic season, its leading lady Lauren and Spencer’s bachelorhood. But, in a blast from the past, It said hello to Kristin Cavallari, who showed up at Heidi and Spencer’s nuptials to stake her claim to the show’s next season.

Thanks for the Memories: It was Lauren’s last call (for now anyway). She packed her house and quit her gig at People’s Revolution. Boss lady gave her some sound and classic Cutrone advice: “Just follow your intuition and be smart, brave, tell the truth and don’t take any s**t.” LC threw an intimate fireside chat on her last night in the pad, where Jayde further exposed her insecurities by constantly kissing, hugging and sitting on Brody’s lap. Meanwhile Steph made a final attempt to convince LC to attend Speidi’s wedding. On a separate occasion, Brody made the case for her to go as well. He thought she’d regret not going and that even if she thought it was a mistake, it was their mistake to make. He planned to attend despite the fact thinking Speidi were rushing into it. (How can it be rushing when they’re headed down the aisle a third time?)

Lauren Conrad Says Hills Producers Forced a Heidi Reconciliation

May 27, 2009

When you watch that awkward make-up talk she has with former BFF Heidi Montag, you’re only seeing half the story, The Hills star Lauren Conrad says.

In fact, producers of the show kept pushing her to meet up with her frenemy throughout the fifth season — Conrad’s last.

“What they didn’t get is that I didn’t want to fight with her anymore,” Conrad says in the July issue of Cosmopolitan. “It’s hard to look at somebody who used to be your best friend and say, ‘We can’t be friends. Too much has happened.’ I’m trying to move on, but they won’t let me. And when someone keeps pushing you into the same position well … you get upset.”

The Hills: Spencer Apologizes to Lauren for Sex Tape Rumors

May 26, 2009

Wedded Diss: Heidi kicked wedding planning into high gear. The only snag? She wanted Lauren to attend and asked Stephanie to handle inviting her. After much hemming and hawing, Steph asked LC over lunch, but she simply declined: “I don’t want to be a part of it.” Steph hoped she might change her mind when she heard that Audrina and Lo were going, but that only irritated her more. Spencer was also annoyed by his fiancée’s wishes, and said, “I don’t feel like I could have a wedding feel special if that girl was sitting there.”

Self-Help: Heidi decided to handle it on her own and delivered an invitation to LC at work, begging her to come. LC explained that she didn’t get why she wanted her there and that she believed Heidi was making a mistake. “It makes me sad to watch you give up everything else in your life,” she said. “I remember always being so lucky to have you as a friend. You could light up any room. Since you’ve been with him, I have watched that slowly go away.”

Groomzilla: When none of her other tactics to obtain her RSVP panned out, Heidi begged Spencer to apologize to Lauren. “Can you put your own ego aside and consider my feelings?” she said. “You say you’re changed but if you were, you would understand this is a big deal for me.” He was vehemently opposed to the idea, but eventually gave in. “This is my first apology in about 24 years. I’m sorry for putting the sex tape rumors out there and for any hurt they caused. I don’t expect you to forgive me, but this girl still has a place in her heart for you. If you show up, it would be life changing for Heidi. But you don’t owe me anything so I don’t expect it.” LC heard him out, but didn’t accept his apology or concede either. (more…)

SNEAK PEEK: Heidi Invites Lauren to Her Wedding on The Hills

May 25, 2009

While the world now knows Heidi and Spencer have, for better or worse, become man and wife, there’s still plenty of drama leading up to their nuptials — like that tricky issue of inviting your former BFF who hates your fiancé to the wedding.

In this exclusive clip from Monday’s The Hills, Heidi drops off a wedding invite to Lauren, telling her, “I’d love to have you there.” LC’s reaction? A loooong uncomfortable pause before she responded, “It’s kind of awkward but I don’t fully get why you want me there.” Watch to see Heidi’s surprising answer.

The Hills Recap: Spencer Rocks Heidi’s World

May 19, 2009

It was a productive week for the Pratts on The Hills. Spencer dealt with daddy issues and proposed to Heidi … again, Stephanie was terminated by Lauren, then she went on a bad double date with Audrina.

The Cowboy Way: Spencer became the first boyfriend to meet Heidi’s father Bill, a real-deal cowboy. She prepped him saying dad was always more scary than mom and that he’d freaked about them getting hitched in Mexico without seeking his permission. Dad didn’t make things easier when he mentioned he’d brought his shotgun, but eventually he and Spence hit it off. (The guy even made a justification for Spence’s bar brawl.) The two walked along the beach discussing Spence’s intentions, which Spence admitted were to live happily ever after with his daughter. Bill warned, “You would be the loser if you lost Heidi.”

Spencer Says Kristin Cavallari Will ‘Bring the Drama’ To The Hills

May 15, 2009

Spots for the Kristin Cavallari fan club are filling up fast, and the line forms behind The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

“We lost one member,” Pratt says of Lauren Conrad’s decision to leave the show. “But we gained one that counts as two.”

Pratt, who spoke to PEOPLE at the T-Mobile Sidekick LX party in Hollywood on Thursday, is referring to drama queen Kristin Cavallari, Conrad’s former nemesis on MTV’s Laguna Beach, who will join the show when it returns for season 6.

The newlywed, who was introduced to Montag by Cavallari (who caught the bouquet at their wedding), called her upcoming debut, a “new beginning,” for the show and made sure to take some parting shots at Conrad. “We’re gaining everything with Kristin, she’s going to bring the drama,” Spencer says, “All we did was lose a girl that didn’t date on our show.”

Cavallari, 22, who spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show Friday, jokingly apologized for introducing the couple and admitted she is, in fact, “on the manhunt” — and willing to let Hills producers play cupid. (more…)

Kristin Cavallari to Replace Lauren Conrad on The Hills

May 14, 2009

A very familiar face will be coming to The Hills this fall: Laguna Beach alum Kristin Cavallari will be replacing the outgoing Lauren Conrad on the MTV series when the show returns for season 6.

“It’s a TV show,” Cavallari tells EW, which first confirmed the casting. “I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! And drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in, because I know what works.”

And though the rivalry between Cavallari and Conrad is old news, Cavallari isn’t above taking a swipe at her former Laguna castmate. “I’m a completely different person than Lauren,” she says of how the Hills will be different with her as the new lead. “I have a lot more energy. I’m more outgoing. I’m a little more spontaneous.” (more…)

The Hills Recap: Steph to Get the Ax — From LC

May 12, 2009

Everyone was working each other’s last nerve on The Hills. Steph let down Lauren and Lo at work and seriously pissed off the boss lady. Justin Bobby and Audrina had a shouting match in public. Heidi had another heated exchange with Stacie and then went home to play the blame game with Spencer.

The Brodrina Fallout Continues: Aud was working a showcase for The Script and got a call from Justin Bobby. Apparently, he’d been contacting her constantly since Hawaii. She agreed to meet the next day. At Boho, she didn’t waste any time getting into the nitty gritty. “We’re at a dead end right now and need to go our separate ways. We can’t even be friends. It doesn’t work. I came to say goodbye face-to-face. Don’t call. Don’t text. It’s over.” She jumped up from the table but JB gave chase. The fight continued on the street where he brought up bunking with Brody. She reminded him that they were never monogamous. “If I spent the night in Lauren’s room, you would freak out,” he retorted. (Good point although not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison.) She met with Steph to give her the play-by-play and swore that they are over … again. “I look at him and I think of all the bad things now. Karma’s a b—h.”
