Cameras Follow Heidi Montag to Colorado to Face Mom

January 27, 2010

After keeping her family in the dark about getting 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, Heidi Montag is finally heading home to Crested Butte, Colo., to confront her mom and reveal what she calls, “the new me.”

And camera crews for MTV’s The Hills are recording it all.

Montag — still in bandages she has to wear for portions of the day while her recovery continues — boarded a private jet bound for Colorado early Wednesday with her sister Holly.

The Hills star recently told PEOPLE her mom, Darlene Egelhoff, was horrified by the surgeries. “I still can’t believe I’m 23 and mom is reacting this way,” Montag said.

Despite conflicting reports that her mom was actually supportive of the surgeries, Montag told PEOPLE her mother didn’t know the extent of the procedures and only talked to her daughter after they were completed. At that point, her tune changed dramatically and Egelhoff became eager to confront Montag about going under the knife. –Jennifer Garcia

Kristin Cavallari Relates to Jersey Shore’s The Situation

January 10, 2010

Though she has allegiance to The Hills, Kristin Cavallari admits she’s smitten with another MTV show, Jersey Shore.

“I love it,” she said. “Is that bad that I love it?”

Cavallari says that if she were on Jersey Shore her nickname would be “the straight-up gangster” and her favorite character is Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

“He’s the best,” she told PEOPLE Saturday while celebrating her 23 birthday at Las Vegas Eve Nightclub and Eva Longoria’s Vegas restaurant Beso.

Maybe that’s because she can relate: Sorentino has his share of haters, Cavallari relishes her role as the resident bad girl on The Hills.

“I have a good time with it,” she said. “I can’t sit here and stress about my image on The Hills. I’d drive myself crazy.”

“I prefer to be the bad girl and have fun with it,” she adds. “You know, it’s a job, let’s have fun with it.” — Mark Gray

Kristin Cavallari & Audrina Patridge Returning to The Hills

December 8, 2009

They’re back!

Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge will return to The Hills for a sixth season of drama, an MTV spokesperson confirms.

The pair, who were at odds over Justin Bobby during season 5, will begin filming new episodes in 2010.

Justin Bobby will also be back. In the show’s season finale, Cavallari and Audrina’s ex decided to give their relationship another shot after spending time together in Las Vegas.

Another loving couple, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, will also return for season 6. Last season, the newlyweds were working through their differences about when to start a family and Spencer finally told Heidi, “When we’re both ready, we’ll have a baby.”

Meanwhile, Patridge may be doing double duty next year. In addition to The Hills, she has said she’s working on a “spicier, edgier, older” reality show with producer Mark Burnett that will focus on “new love” and “romances.”

The Hills Finale: Kristin & Justin Bobby Give It a Go

December 2, 2009

All good things must come to an end, including Kristin Cavallari’s first season of The Hills. While some loose ends were tied up and KC packed her Malibu beach house, the gang delivered a few cliffhangers to ponder until they return. –Carrie Bell

Summer Loving: Despite finding it “hard not to like him” after having a blast with Justin Bobby in Vegas, Kristin ran from commitment, saying she didn’t want to get hurt. In the soul-searching sit-downs with Stacie, the lady doth protest too much and even Stacie thought she was making a mistake by passing up the guy who rode to Vegas to be with her. Justin Bobby appeared sincere when he made his case and offered her a place to stay. “There’s a lot of people in this world and to find somebody that is compatible with you, for you and by you … I have that feeling for you,” he said. “I’m here. I haven’t flaked anymore. I went to Vegas. You need to figure it out.” But she stood firm on not wanting a serious boyfriend and he bolted. (more…)

SNEAK PEEK: Audrina & Justin’s Final Conversation?

December 1, 2009

Is this finally the end? Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby are meeting up once again on the season finale of The Hills.

“I feel like this is going to be the last conversation we’re ever going to have,” she tells her one-time beau while watching the waves crash in Malibu.

Justin tells her she’s being immature by making such a dramatic statement and reminds her that she’s the one that told him to “get out of my life.”

“You didn’t get out of my life,” she says.

“I definitely tried,” he says.

Ouch! Audrina calls Justin Bobby “selfish” and “self-centered” and then says, “You go around telling people that we were never together — nothing.”

His reply: “We weren’t, Audrina.”

The Hills airs tonight (10 p.m. EST) on MTV, followed by the finale of The City.

Kristin and Justin-Bobby’s Vegas Bootie Call

November 25, 2009

There’s a lot to be thankful for in the Thanksgiving week episode of The Hills — the discovery of an evil plot, numerous girls-gone-wild moments in Vegas, Justin-Bobby’s flash of abs, even Audrina’s 187th realization that he’s just not that into her and that’s probably a good thing — and it’s all leading up to next week’s big finale. — Carrie Bell

NEW TOWN, NEW TOOLS: They actually got off Kristin’s couch and hit the Strip. Kristin talked a big game about flirting and hooking up her way to forgetting her L.A. boy baggage. “We’re here to meet Mr. Right Now,” her friend encouraged. After making sure they both didn’t wear too-similar sequin tops (Guess matching pewter leather mini-motorcycle jackets were okay though!), the pretty pair quickly gained the attention of a few tools who wanted to party and bootie bounce. KC excused herself to the balcony and broke the road-trip pact by calling Justin-Bobby. “I should be having the time of my life. I’m not. Your name keeps popping in my head. I’m putting myself out there.”

VEGAS, BOBBY, VEGAS: Apparently, her bootie call is powerful. Stacie found JB in KC’s shower the next morning while KC was busy indulging in the breakfast of champions — ice cream and champagne. She tried to play coy, but eventually admitted she “sinned in Sin City.” Stacie was flabbergasted to see him there (or maybe it was just seeing that bad stomach tatt), but KC seemed giddy and rationalized, “At least he showed up and I didn’t make an ass out of myself.” She later told him that she was surprised he showed and he sweetly admitted that she makes him do things he doesn’t usually do. (We have to admit, as dirty as it makes us feel, sometimes he can be quite charming.) As with many Vegas stories, their’s involved a strip club, a lesbian kiss between friends, some carefully cropped rated-X lap dance action, overuse of the word “whoa” and hangovers. (more…)

SNEAK PEEK: Justin Drives to Las Vegas for Kristin

November 23, 2009

It seems nothing helps a girl get over heartbreak better than a fall back guy!

Last week on The Hills, Kristin Cavallari found herself single again with no prospects as Brody Jenner reunited with Jayde Nicole. But in an exclusive clip of tonight’s episode Justin Bobby crosses state lines—on his his motorcycle, we presume— to save our damsel-in-distress from her heartache.

“Would you ever drive to Vegas for Audrina?” Kristin asks Justin while sitting in a Sin City casino.

“I don’t think so,” he answers. “You kind of make me do things I don’t usually do. It’s unconventional for me.”

When Justin asks if she’d return the favor, Kristin says no.

The Hills: Brody Tells Kristin He’s Going Back to Jayde

November 18, 2009

Kristin just can’t catch a break on The Hills. When she’s not the target of ex-girlfriend rage, she’s going home alone after the guy she thought she’d poached returns to his former flame. Of course, Heidi is living proof that getting a guy to put a ring on it doesn’t solve everything either. –Carrie Bell

Worst Plan Ever: Heidi returned to the therapist alone to discuss Spencer’s disinterest in children. The counselor reminded her that’s why it’s important to discuss big issues before marriage. As it’s too late for that, Heidi devised a plan to stop taking the pill and surprise him with an unplanned pregnancy. The wise doc advised her that he may feel more tricked than excited. Audrina had a similar reaction of dread and headshaking, but Heidi insisted a wannabe mom knows best. “Spencer doesn’t know how much he wants a family,” she said. “We need a family so I’ll make the call. I always get what I want.”

The Guys’ Take: While shooting pool with his boys, Brody realized Kristin had their vote. Taylor and Frankie told him he becomes a “different, mean, sad” person around Jayde and he’s less fun to hang with. (more…)

SNEAK PEEK: Kristin Tells Jayde ‘You’re Such a B—-!’

November 17, 2009

The fight continues! After push came to shove between Kristin Cavallari and Jayde Nicole on last week’s episode of The Hills, the two sat down to discuss their conflict, which centers on their common ex-boyfriend, Brody Jenner, who is currently on a break from Jayde and hanging out with Kristin.

“You don’t think that in the entire city of Hollywood you could find other guys other than Justin and Brody?” Jayde asks in an exclusive clip of tonight’s episode.

Kristin immediately takes issue with Jayde’s mention of her dating Justin Bobby, who dated Audrina Patridge in the past. “I was never friends with Audrina,” Kristin says. “So I don’t owe her anything.”

“Hey, I don’t like Audrina either,” Jayde replies.

“So why are you even bringing Justin into this equation?”

“Because it seems like a pattern with you,” Jayde answers. “Everything was totally fine before you came here, so you need to go back to wherever it is that you came from.”

That’s when Kristin lets her have it: “You are such a bitch, Jayde. I have to tell you, like, you’re a bitch.”

The Hills airs tonight (10 p.m. EST) on MTV, followed by The City (10:30 p.m. EST).

Stephanie Pratt Calls DUI Arrest the ‘Biggest Blessing’

November 12, 2009

While some say that scripted television is dying, irony is, in fact, very much alive. Days before an episode of The Hills aired showing Stephanie Pratt confronting Holly Montag about her excessive drinking, Spencer’s 23-year-old sister was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Hollywood.

Given the personalities involved, and the public forum in which it the arrest took place, it had all the makings of a very real meltdown. But to the younger Pratt’s credit, she’s weathered the storm and come out stronger because of it.

“It was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing,” Pratt told PEOPLE at the Maxim and Ubisoft launch of Assassin’s Creed II in West Hollywood on Wednesday. “I learned to not fall apart, which is something that I usually do when something goes bad in my life. I learned that it is all about temptation and that I am being tested.”

Being tested in Hollywood is an everyday occurrence — as is the subsequent fall from grace — but the plucky blond reality star seems determined to transform her arrest from embarrassment to betterment. (more…)
