Tori & Dean: A Night of Sweet Surprises

August 13, 2008

There was one welcome surprise after another on Tuesday’s Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. After bringing home newborn Stella Doreen, Tori was shocked to find her friend Suzanne had finished the renovations Tori wanted on the house while she spent five days in the hospital. One-year-old son Liam was surprised — and a little jealous — by newborn Stella, but he played with his sister while simultaneously wanting the attention for himself.

Dean receieved the episode’s biggest surprise. After confessing that he feels like a “bad dad” to 9-year-old son Jack from another marriage, Tori flew Jack down for their housewarming party. “This if the first time all of my kids are under one roof,” Dean said. “It felt so natural. I feel so blessed.”

Still, an even bigger surprise may still be on the way. “Keep looking as good as you do, and we might have another baby soon,” Dean told Tori during the episode.

The show ended with the debut of the couple’s music video for their song “So in Love,” a tribute to other famous couples, and a preview of next week’s look back at the entire season. – Jessica Gold Haralson

Tori & Dean Welcome Baby Girl, Record a Song

August 6, 2008

On Tuesday’s episode of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, the couple welcomed a daughter, Stella Doreen (a.k.a “Baby G”), into the world.

But it wasn’t all about Baby G. Not to be shown up by his new sister, their son Liam (now 17-months-old) also learned to walk during the episode. “Monkey, I’m so proud of you!” Dean said. Always attentive, Dean backed out of a bike ride to go home to Tori out of a fear “Baby G” would come while he was away.

So, with Dean by her side, Tori delivered Stella Doreen via Cesarean section. “My daughter is so beautiful,” Tori cooed when her little girl arrived. “When you get a C-section, you feel this intense pressure … and then you hear your baby crying.”

Out of sheer joy, the happy couple also recorded an off-key song. Sample lyrics include: “Look how far we’ve come after all / sometimes you drive me up the wall.”

“T looks really hot rocking that bass,” Dean said. Maybe so, but let’s hope the two don’t quit their reality day job.

Tori & Dean: Construction and Blessings

July 30, 2008

Tensions were high on Tuesday’s episode of Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood — or rather, mantels came down (literally!).

Annoyed with the glacial pace of Tori and friends Suzanne McFarlane and Amy Colvin’s decision making process for the renovation of Tori and Dean’s new home, hubby Dean McDermott took matters into his own hands, uprooting the living room mantel and placing it at Tori’s feet in a dramatic show of frustration.

“It sounds like a —-ing hen house in here,” murmured Dean, shocking the women as he brought the gigantic mantle into the living room. “No one listens to me!” Dean and decorator Suzanne later exchanged words, with Tori calling their altercation “catfight.” (more…)

Tori & Dean Deal with Parenting Dilemmas

July 23, 2008

On last week’s episode of Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, we saw Tori Spelling fight back the tears. This week, the drama was all her husband Dean’s.

After a busy day of looking for preschools for 1-year-old son Liam, Dean got emotional thinking about Jack, his 9-year-old son currently living in Canada with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace. “Liam’s not going to suffer my stumbles and my faults as a dad the first time out,” Dean said, holding back tears. “I feel like a really bad dad with Jack.”

“But that’s one of the reasons I chose you,” said Tori. “You’re a really great dad to Jack.”

Besides Dean’s guilt pangs, we saw the ups and downs of parenting in Hollywood. Tori learns from her OB/GYN that Liam’s pre-school applications were months overdue. We also learn that Tori will definitely reprise her role as Donna Martin on the CW’s 90210 spin-off.

“Donna Martin’s back,” cried Tori, “and she’s very fertile!” – Jessica Gold Haralson

Tori Opens Up About Rocky Relationship with Mom

July 16, 2008

Tori Spelling fought back tears and cradled her baby bump while confessing her biggest regret, her broken relationship with her mother Candy Spelling, on Tuesday’s tearful new episode of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

Spelling told husband Dean McDermott that she’s happy she’ll have a “great” relationship with her daughter-to-be, (Stella Doreen was born June 10, after the episode was shot) but wistful for herself. “I wish I could have had that,” she said.

What brought on this wave of emotion? Tori found out that Candy had read Tori’s confessional, sTori Telling, and was not happy about it, taking to the Internet to express her disapproval. “We communicate through e-mails and blog posts,” said Tori. “It’s sad.” (more…)

VIDEO: Tori & Dean Talk Baby No. 2!

June 10, 2008

June is turning out to be one very busy month for Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, who just welcomed their second child, a baby girl. The couple is also ramping up for the premiere of their Oxygen network show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, which returns June 17.

After spending last season running their country inn Chateau La Rue, season 3 picks up with Tori and Dean returning to L.A. with their 1-year-old son Liam, buying a new home — and getting ready for the biggest production of all, the birth of their first daughter Stella Doreen McDermott.

The couple recently sat down to talk about baby No. 2 (it’s “a harder pregnancy,” says Spelling), getting through their second pregnancy (hint: Dean gets big props) and how 1-year-old son Liam is already communicating with little sis. Watch the clip!
